The Righteous: hopeful
What the wicked dreads will overtake him;
what the righteous desire will be granted.
The Righteous: concerned about the welfare of God's creation
A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal,
but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.
The Righteous: understand justice
Evil men do not understand justice,
but those who seek the Lord understand it fully.
The Righteous: covered with blessings
Blessings crown the head of the righteous,
but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.
The Wicked: bent on evil
He who winks with his eye is plotting perversity;
he who purses his lips is bent on evil.
The Righteous: give thought to their ways
A wicked man puts up a bold front,
but an upright man gives thought to his ways.
The Righteous: persevere against evil
Do not lie in wait like an outlaw against a righteous man's house,
do not raid his dwelling place;
for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.
Proverbs 24:15 - 16
The Wicked: hate those with integrity
Bloodthirsty men hate a man of integrity and seek to kill the upright.
The Righteous: are appreciated
Good understanding wins favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard.
The Wicked: lead others into sin
A violent man entices his neighbor and leads
him down a path that is not good.
The Righteous: conduct is upright
The way of the guilty is devious,
but the conduct of the innocent is upright.
The Righteous: are not to desire the company of godless people
Do not envy wicked men, do not desire their company;
for their hearts plot voilence, and their lips talk about making trouble.
Proverbs 24:1 - 2
The Righteous: others are glad when they triumph
When the righteous triumph, there is great elation;
but when the wicked rise to power, men go into hiding.
The Righteous: care for the poor
The righteous care about justice for the poor,
but the wicked have no such concern.
The Righteous: detest the dishonest
The righteous detest the dishonest; the wicked detest the upright.
The Righteous: stand firm
When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone,
but the righteous stand firm forever.
The Righteous: delivered by righteousness
The righteousness of the upright delivers them,
but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires.
The Righteous: no real harm befalls them
No harm befalls the righteous,
but the wicked have their fill of trouble.
The Righteous: income results in treasure
The house of the righteous contains great treasure,
but the income of the wicked brings them trouble.
The Righteous: avoid evil
The highway of the upright avoids evil;
he who guards his way guards his life.
The Wicked: fall into constant trouble
A man of perverse heart does not prosper;
he whose tongue is deceitful falls into trouble.
The Righteous: are bold as lions
The wicked man flees though no one pursues,
but the righteous are as bold as a lion.
The Righteous: will be safe
He whose walk is blameless is kept safe,
but he whose ways are perverse will suddenly fall.
The Righteous: walk securely
The man of integrity walks securely,
but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.
The Righteous: rewarded with prosperity
Misfortune pursues the sinner,
but prosperity is the reward of the righteous.
The Righteous: God protects them
The way of the Lord is a refuge for the righteous,
but it is the ruin of those who do evil.
The Wicked: will be punished for rebellion
An evil man is bent only on rebellion;
a merciless official will be sent against him.
The Righteous: never uprooted
The righteous will never be uprooted,
but the wicked will not remain in the land.
The Righteous: earn a sure reward
The wicked man earns deceptive wages,
but he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
The Righteous: attain life
The truly righteous man attains life,
but he who pursues evil goes to his death.
The Righteous: end only in good
The desire of the righteous ends only in good,
but the hope of the wicked only in wrath.
The Righteous: will stand firm
Wicked men are overthrown and are no more,
but the house of the righteous stands firm.
The Righteous: have a refuge when they die
When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down,
but even in death the righteous have a refuge.
The Righteous: delights in the good
The Lord detests men of perverse heart but he delights in
those whose ways are blameless.
The Righteous: evil people will bow to them
Evil men will bow down in the presence of the good,
and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
